What is the proper amount of exercise each day/how many days per week? If you're feeling tired, is it better to exercise or wait until the next day?

Experts recommend teens get at least 1 hour of moderate to vigorous exercise daily. If exercise has left you worn out, it's good to rest for a day. In fact, taking a day off is a requirement for certain types of exercise — like strength training. This helps the body repair itself and protect itself from injury. Tiredness or aching in the muscles is the body's way of telling you it needs a break. If you're still feeling tired after taking a few days off, talk to your doctor.
