Note: This high-calorie recipe is especially for kids with cystic fibrosis (CF). Kids with CF often need to consume additional calories to help them meet their nutritional needs.

Prep time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 c. quick oats
  • 1/2 c. heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 c. water

Utensils:

  • measuring cup
  • microwave-safe bowl
  • spoon
  • microwave (You'll need help from your adult assistant.)

Directions:

  1. Combine oats, heavy whipping cream, and water in a microwave-safe bowl.
  2. Microwave on high for 2 minutes.
  3. Remove from microwave and mix well.

Serves: 1

Serving size: 3/4 c.

Variations and suggestions:
